GP practice Buiksloterweg

Health care in Amsterdam North
You can go to GP practice at Buiksloterweg for general practitioner care, but also for minor surgical procedures and the dietitian. Our doctor is a very special doctor. From an early age he is very passionate and he leads the way in applying the latest techniques. He was once the youngest GP in the Netherlands and also the first GP with a computer. Today he is one of the most experienced GPs in the Netherlands, but still just as passionate. For example, he collaborates with various universities on improving care and is at the cradle of, among other things, e-Health projects Health Communicator and Sneltolk.

About the practice building

The practice is located in a national monument on the North Holland Canal, opposite the entrance to the IJ Tunnel. The building, designed by the famous architect A. Kropholler, was completed in 1923. The practice building was part of the Kropholler complex.

This consisted of a monastery, a church, a clergy house, a school, and a general practitioner’s annex house. The school has now been demolished to build 3 apartment buildings. The monastery, church, and clergy house have been given a different function.

Health Communicator

Receive your results online

We use the Health Communicator system. Using this you can indicate, through a questionnaire, why you are going to the doctor. This way the GP knows what your symptoms are before you arrive at your consultation. The GP therefore has more time for your complaint during the consultation.

If you speak English, Turkish, Russian, Arabic, or Riffian, you can also complete a large number of questionnaires in your own language. The doctor or assistant practitioner will receive the information in Dutch. This way, we can help you as best as possible.
Sometimes the doctor or assistant practitioner will give you a link. This contains information that is important to you. You can then watch an informational video or visit a website at home or in the waiting room. This way you know more about your illness and better what to do.
